I assisted the Waterville, Maine based flight instructor with the day-to-day operations of teaching students how to become pilots. Throughout the internship I learned as much as possible about aviation and got hours of experience in the flight simulator.
Atlantic Salmon Federation Intern

I was asked to conduct a literature review for the Atlantic Salmon Federation on the economic impact of dam removal/river restoration. I summarized key findings from several selected scholarly papers. I also took detailed notes on points of interest presented in the scholarly articles as part of the first step in a future research project.
Dock Operations Manager

I was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a marina on a busy lake in Northwestern Maine. Assisted customers in boat rentals, refueling their boats, in shop retail, and taking phone calls/responding to enquiries. I also needed moderate carpentry skills in order to make minor dock repairs and complete other various improvement projects around the marina. Additionally I trained a new hire in my last year at Lakeside showing them how things were run and explaining the various responsibilities of the job.
